 Razor is surprisingly a step up from the Fusion, but this kit is not a good value August 15, 2010

I was skeptical that I'd find this razor to be a noticeable improvement over the Gillette Fusion Power razor that I have, but it actually is better in many ways. The protectant rubbery-area (whatever it's called) of the Fusion Power has been removed (thankfully!) in favor of some other whatsit that still raises one's whiskers. The blades seem to cut even closer, but without causing any additional redness.
So why only 3 stars? Because the inclusion of the small travel size pre-shave and post-shave packets + the normally-pretty-cheap shaving cream do not justify the substantial price increase over the razor alone. When I buy a kit, I expect to *save* money over buying the components individually, and -- at least at this time -- that's sadly not the case.

The shaver is good. It is better than march 3 turbo.
But one should notice the price here for this combo is higher than in rite-aid.

I'm telling you how much I love these new blades because my wife is sick of hearing it!
I thought the original Fusion Power was a slight upgrade on the Mach 3, but the Fusion Proglide Power is miles ahead of both. The blades really do glide over my face quickly and comfortably, and the shave is so close that no stubble appears for hours later than with previous blades. I don't like shaving, and I put it off when I can, but the Powerglide has made shaving so fast that I'm no longer trying to avoid it.

this was a gift for my husband and he tells me that it is no improvement over the previous model
too bad / sort of a waste of money! not an amazon issue....
