Most comfortable of all ear plugs I've tried. August 2, 2010 Norm De Plume (Lake Forest, Illinois USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Long story short, I can't sleep without earplugs. I've tried EVERY brand on the market and found these to be the most comfortable and best at sound reduction. I also take a couple pair along on an airplane when travelling, and to concerts where the volume may be cranked up to the point of discomfort for me. These take the edge off loud music making it enjoyable instead of ear-splitting.
Shooters note: I use these coupled with the standard headphone style sound guards. Big improvement!
Also, in these bulk containers, they're as inexpensive as it gets.
Highly recommended.
Great Product ...Great Customer Service June 24, 2010 Sadie, Married Lady (Vancouver, WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are my favorite ear plugs, ever! I wear a pair every night. Hubby snores ...I love him, but I can't sleep when he's so loud, so TA-DA ...Quiet Please ear plugs to the rescue! I received my order well within the time stated. Shipping was reasonable. I would order from this company again.
not as comfortable since quality changed May 27, 2010 Wendy Williams (New York, NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been using these 29 DB Quiet Please earplugs for years, so I finally bought them in a large quantity (50 pairs). Sadly, this big plastic jar of earplugs contains a different quality product than what I was used to. They're a harder foam and slightly bigger than the ones I'd bought in small sets in stores in the past. They hurt my ears, especially when I'm sleeping on my side and it gets pressed further into my ear. Also, the crackly noise they normally make when they're first expanding in your ear canal doesn't always go away. They make that noise randomly at other times, too.
Another reviewer complained of these same problems, but I disagree with someone who said they're not effective. They do block outside noise very well. I live in a noisy apartment building in New York City, and these are the reason I can get some rest. I might have to experiment with other kinds, though, if this new hard foam and large size is the standard for this brand now. I found another kind that's for women's smaller ears and made of a softer foam.
Excellent product May 24, 2010 J. Mach (Leesburg, VA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use this when using my trimmer, chainsaw or mower. They are easy to insert, comfortable, cheap, and I reuse them throughout the day with no problem.
I definitely recommend this product!
Not comfortable and not effective! April 21, 2010 johnny 5 (seattle) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
When my landlords decided they were going to "remodel" the unit above us, I knew I has going to need ear plugs if I was going to get any sleep. And boy was I right.
Because I wanted something quickly, I bought some Howard Leight LPF-1's from my local sporting goods store, and when I ran out of those, I bought the Flents Quiet Please ones here on Amazon.
I could not be MORE disappointed.
These things are garbage! They're short, which makes them hard to insert and take out of the ear canal. They're hard and angular which makes them uncomfortable in the ear canal. They expand too much in the ear, which created pressure in my ears that I couldn't stand. And they didn't block out noise very well. I should make the caveat though that it is possible that the seal on my canister wasn't totally sealed, so the ear plugs in the container dried out. But that means once you open the can, you have to use them before they dry out???
If I were you, I'd stay clear of these, and instead buy the Howard Leight LPF-1 Uncrded 200/box Amazon sells. You get way more, and these ear plugs are a DREAM to use. They soft, easy to put in and take out, and block much more sound. Plus they expand more quickly in your ear so the sound gets blocked more quickly, but they don't create pressure in your ear canal so they're a dream to wear for long periods of time, like if you need them to sleep. And also great, they don't dry out because each pair is individually sealed!
I'm returning these ear plugs and will never use Flents again.
